Hello Fellow Jag Fans!
So, this is what you've been hearing about - Our new home on the net.
Myself and the other admins will be learning our way around for a little while, but I'm already impressed with the layout and modernity of 247Sports. I hope you will be too.
Check out the front page, which will have our newest stories, commit lists and twitter feeds from the 247 staff about any topic that involves South Alabama.
With the added resources that 247 will provide us, we will be able to provide more and better coverage of South Alabama recruiting and athletics than ever before.
I'm sure there will be a period of adjustment but I hope that everyone comes to appreciate what we have here as much, or more, than our previous site.
Thanks so much for joining us (again) and please let me know if you have any questions that I can help with.
PS - As I finished this post I realized the button to the right gives access to two full pages of emoticons. Pretty sweet.

Wow, this site feels like real ncaa sports, AJ. Thanks for all the hard work. Once everyone gets over here and gets used to it I think it will be terrific. Now, to find a new emoticon...
At long last
Woooohooo, free at last.
Welcome everyone to the new board. First things first, tine for an avatar!
Going to be fun,
i want a new avatar tell me how to do it please.
Well first you have to select a picture you want to use and make sure it's saved on your computer. Then on this site you click your name to go to your profile. Click the settings link and on that first screen it will give you the option to upload a picture from your computer as your avatar.

Any idea when they'll switch to the "new" logo? Still rockin' the academic logo.
I kinda like that the old logo broadcasts USA. We need to train the nation to our preferred reference.
Where is the button for the emoticons?
When you hit the reply button, it should be to the right of the text box.
Sweet, right in front of me.
Welcome to the big show.
The old board is locked down - no new posts, no replies.
Ok... with any new site there will be bugs/isues. I just found a few lol
1. The site truncates/crops pictures to a certain size. See above. That's not very much allowance. It doesn't adjust the picture to fit in that small space. it just fits in what it can.
2. Site doesn't allow me to remove the picture when I go to edit because I get an error.
3. I can't replace the picture because I get an error.
4. There is no delete post option on here.
The great and powerful AJ can delete.
It is done.
All I can say is...Thank You! Any and all forums and/or outlets to discuss the Jags is much appreciated!
I noticed the same thing. It's probably related to file size or pixel size. I would guess pixel size. We might want to add the maximum pixel size (i.e. - 123 x 123) for photos and avatars to the FAQ section. You can use photo editing software to scale it down if you know how big it needs to be.
I say for the first month everyone shall be required to use a random emoticon in every post.
I be here.
Today I’ll take any kind of passion. Just care! Complain, moan, groan, or call for somebody’s head. CARE !! - OJ
1 MB is the limit
The pic I tried to post on the Roll Call thread was well under 1MB and it cropped off the bottom 2/3.
Hweird. Dunno then.
Yeah, same here.
