We're about to start.
"The albatross and the whales, they are my brothers."---The Little River Band
Jags look loose coming out of the tunnel. We will see if that works like against UALR.
I like the two guys dressed like Aztec Jaguar Warriors. Very cool.
Sloppy so far
JAG FAN SINCE <><>
It's about time someone did it.
That certainly didn't look like a charge to me. Anyone know if these refs are ones we typically have an issue with? I recognize them but can't remember. The white ref always reminds me of Billy Donovan lol.
Whistles are a bit one-sided in the early going.
The feed I'm watching is a little choppy, but I agree that the officiating seems to be going the wrong way so far.

They called a walk on Aug as he was dribbling the ball...
He can tweet all he wants, but Trey Anderson makes it impossible to leave him on the court #ownworstenemy
Down by 5 at the half. Could be worse. Could be better.
Hopefully we play a great second half and it isn't affected by too many whistles.
What website are you watching on?
That question was for you Doug. I forgot to hit the quote button.

I'm a high-roller, baby. Paid the subscription fee.
we aren't very good without all our players on deck. 4/27 from the three, good god
Any one know where X was this evening? Not sure that he would have made a difference but on way back to car, I realized he did not play.
/Okay, sorry, when I backed out of this thread I saw KJag's post about X. /end edit

I didn't get a chance to watch this game, but 4/27 from the three suggests this to me:
1. the players we had shooting were cold
2. we probably took a lot of bad shots and should have drove to the basket
Can anyone who watched the game give some insight?
I didn't watch every second, but we had a lot of good looks from three that didn't go down.
Antoine Allen needs a sports psychologist. He has no faith in his shot right now.
This is a really BAD shooting team. I mean BAD. They couldn't have thrown it into the Mitch tonight if the lid were off of it from standing atop Moulton Tower.
PAINFUL TO WATCH!!!
And, they did have plenty of good looks.
AND, we went back to not protecting the ball. A little too cute at times and many times that one too many dribbles before giving it up.
Did I mention, PAINFUL TO WATCH?
We had good looks, but could not get any to fall. Turnovers off the dribble by our guards. ASU was not much better. It was an ugly game by both teams. We just out uglied them. Radio (LEE) said we shot 27% for the game.
There were several shots that just didn't fall that normally would. Most of those from Rubit. A couple fall and it's a different feeling game.
With the ref's help we fell behind early and was never able to overcome it.
Antione Allen needs to stop chunking the ball! He isn't making the shots. I believe he was 1-6 from 3 point range in the first half alone. Many bad three point attempts were taken by several players, but several wide open three point looks never got attempted.
Trey Anderson... I really want him to succeed but he isn't getting the job done. He continues to have more fouls and turnovers than points. Did he even make a basket?
Ammons 3 quick fouls really hurt us and might be what hurt us the most in this game. He only played 4 minutes in the first half!
This was just an off night for the Jags. My first thought when I knew for a fact that we were going to lose: "Ronnie Arrow wouldn't have won this game either".
Just an absolute aweful game! I don't know what was up with Ammons. He looked like he had zero energy. Point guard play was not good either. I really think we could have used X. We have some shooters and typically SOMEONE can get a shot to fall. Maybe it would have been his night.
By the way, 17-62 shooting! WOW!!!

We were snakebit tonight. Ammons got jobbed with 3 quick fouls in the 1st half and was pretty much a non-factor the rest if the way because he was worried about the whistle. The white ref was calling everything on USA in the 1st. It was pathetic. We missed some open shots but we took some really bad ones too. Come down the floor and shoot with nobody under the basket. The press was completely ineffective every time we tried it. Led to some easy buckets for ASU. The ball literally bounced their way almost every time. Aug was a beast as usual but even he wasn't immune. Every time he got fouled down low the shot would bounce on the rim a couple of times and never once dropped.
One thing I noticed was that every time our guys took it to the hole there were about 8 hands in there trying to contest the dribble and/or the shot. It resulted in lots of tipped balls. Usually when we were on D it was 1 on 1.
Still with all that we cut it to 4 with plenty of time left. But then we let them hit an open 3 on the next possession.
I think they've been at most if not all the home games. Usually 3-4 guys and a couple of girls. Hope they continue to add to their number. Luv it!
IT'S OUR TIME! GO JAGS!!
They're friends of mine. They started doing it when they heard TogaMan and I were retiring. Glad someone has picked up where we are leaving.
Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
