The Jags are down at least one player tonight. Slim is not with the team due to a death in the family. Lee just mentioned that Trey Anderson has injured his back and may not play.

Down 27-13, 8 min left in 1.
Designer // Basketball Nut // 6'5" white boy who once dunked over two defenders... then I woke up.
Did I just read the boxscore correctly? Dre Conner has fouled out with 12 minutes to play?
Apparently I didn't because now it says 4 fouls.
Somebody got t'd up...not sure who or why
Somebody has to get a handle on things. That's 3 technical fouls!
What is happening?
Down by 11 now with about 30 seconds left we are going to lose . the refs decided that about 5 minutes ago.
71-62 is the final
I'm not watching, but was it the refs or our lack of discipline?
not sure but Lee was amazed at our 3 techs . Price said he got one basically on purpose so the other two would be discipline i guess
I asked the ASU board about the technicals and got this reply:
"The bench got one when your coach wouldn't quit bitchin' at a ref who was on the other end of the floor before he finally got tired of it and T'd him up. I believe the other two were just cases of players running their mouths about calls and/or no-calls, particularly the one on Antoine Allen"

I've noticed recently that Allen is pretty hot headed. If he's open and thinks he should get the ball, he's gonna let you know. If you don't give him the ball, he'll show his displeasure. I saw this numerous times against FIU. Coach Taylor had to grab him and calm him down.

Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
Hate to say it but I think we're about to see the wheels come off. Coaching change and player attrition is going to cause frustration to take over. Losing FJG has yet to manifest itself in it's entirety.
I don't think so. Ark St is great at playing the bang game on defense and that's going to take a toll on a shorthanded team. I think Price and Company still have a handle on the guys.
I think we lost one player too many to have a shot at the tourney title, though.
Remember my earlier post, I have been around this game, played and scouted...the basketball program has had to many negatives to end this year with any success. The players that have signed will determine what and how the program will move...Keep them, release them...new coaches....Some tough decisions have to be made...someone should have a plan in place now or otherwise this thing will truly spiral downward and out of hand....
We beat an FIU team (should have won by double digits) who were up 36-19 on Middle Tennessee at half last night. We're not playing bad basketball. And ASU is big and had its way with us in Mobile earlier this year
I think we finish the season 6-2 or 5-3 and win one in the Sun Belt tournament.
I didn't want to sound aloof or unrealistic but I thought our yearly goals were to win one in the NCAAs, just as we want the football team to get to a bowl....
If that isn't "our" goal going into each and every year, we need some serious reevaluations of the department as a whole.
Today I’ll take any kind of passion. Just care! Complain, moan, groan, or call for somebody’s head. CARE !! - OJ
It's just the vibe I get. After freddie went down, the team just didn't seem to know what to do on offense. Lots of pointing, talking, and frustrated facial expressions. It seemed to the un-educated observer that FJG was a big part of getting the ball to where it needed to go sometimes. I chalked it up to having to ad-lib, so to speak, given the abrupt nature of Freddie's departure. Now we have discipline issues on the road? It just feels bad.
That goal was most likely wipped off the board when we went 0-3 in Atlanta. It was probably replaced with win the East which is still possible although not likely.
Finishing 2nd in the East with the tough luck we've had would be great and give us a favorable matchup in Hot Springs.
It absolutely is the goal every year under every coach at every program in America.
That goal has become nearly unrealistic after losing the best three-point shooter in the conference who also happened to be out best perimeter defender and then following that up by losing our second best player at both of those skills.
I'm all for having difficult goals, but you have to adjust to the changing circumstances. The horses just aren't there anymore but finishing second in the East and getting a win or two in the SBC conference is within our grasp. Anything more than that is pure gravy, in my opinion.
