We are a good free throw shooting team.
Nice game all in all
Rubit and Ammons combine for 40
that's a GREAT start to the night.
now let's go take on in Hawaii
Jags win and are 2-0 in the SBC. Congrats to Ronnie Arrow who is now the winningest basketball coach in SBC history!
For the Red, White, & Blue: Go Jags!
2-0 in conference. That's huge.
We step out of conference for the next three before welcoming a good UALR team to the the Mitch on the 22nd.

Listening to that radio broadcast crew in wnsp made me realize that lee is pretty good or those two guys were horrible.
Nice to start 2-0 in conference. Even better that it was 2 road wins
Good start to conference play, but got to clean it up.
Class of 1990. And yes, I still hate Michigan because of '89.
Today has been a great day. I'm glad we got off to a 2-0 conference start, and beat future C-USA members in the process. Time to knock out Hawaii later tonight and out the cap on the great day!
Glad we closed this game out. We need to get better at closing games. We are continuing to let team hang around, instead of closing out the game. This scares me, because we have a problem at winning close games.
We played FSU well and won a tough game on the road. I've been left wondering where that team went since then, but we saw flashes of it tonight, I think. We shot pretty well tonight. If the team that went to south Florida goes to Atlanta, we probably win 3-0 or at least 2-1, but I'd rather be 2-0 in conference play right now if I had to choose, I guess.
Attendance was officially 920. Wonder how many were really there?
C-USA may be shocked to find that FIU doesn't exactly bring in Miami for their next TV contract negotiations.

Old Jaguar told me that one of the FIU announcers said something like "It's a shame the Panthers couldn't have played a better game for such a good crowd." That begs the question: what would constitute a *bad* crowd?

I agree with this 100%. I think we could have came away with 3-0 in Atlanta. They really shot the ball well in Florida this year.
haha!!! I really hated playing there. You have to pump yourself up for that game. High school games are better than that atmosphere. By far the worst place to play in the Sun Belt!!! Hands down.
TheEast Division has a 7-4 conference record while the West has a 3-6 record. In cross-division play, the East has a 4-1 advantage.
It doesn't look like we are doing much better at taking care of the ball than last year, but, like CRA said, having two or three more shooters makes the team much more dangerous.
When it comes to closing out games, our free throw shooting is a big help in that regard but we've got to not turn it over late when teams are desperately pressing us in an effort to come back.
