The Montgomery Bowl is now officially in business. It'll be SBC vs MAC. More likely now the Jags aren't left without a postseason berth when we win our 6+ this year!
Mobile, Montgomery, New Orleans...
The Jags should travel well to all three locations!
What a terrible idea. No MAC fans are going to travel to Montgomery.
I was kind of hoping they'd get that bowl over in Charleston. That would be a good destination.
It will be at the Cramton Bowl downtown, rather than the new Hornets Stadium at Alabama State. I'm skeptical that $10m in renovations is enough to make it a decent venue.
Going to a bowl game should be a reward not a punishment..A week in Montgomery,no thanks..
Lipstick on a pig.
Would y'all rather be like FIU and WKU and have to travel to Detroit? I'm glad that bowl is getting moved and one closer is coming open for the Sun Belt.
Has a name been announced for this bowl or will it be like the godaddy bowl in its first year when it was called the Mobile, Al bowl.
As a player I'd take Detroit and Ford Field over Montgomery in a heart beat. The bowl week would probably be more fun in Detroit just b/c there's more to do and playing in an NFL stadium would be cool.
As a fan I'd take Detroit over Montgomery but not by much. It's not much fun is driving a couple of hours, sitting in a high school football stadium then driving straight home. I understand that the travel would be much cheaper and easier but that's about it for the Montgomery Bowl. The bowl week environment would be pretty weak since most USA fans would drive in and drive out that day.

A game in Detroit at that time of year for southerners would be miserable. Also, I'd rather stands full of Jags in Montgomery to be shown on TV than an empty stadium in Detroit.

Ford Field is nice! I'd much rather go to Detroit. But with that said, I'd definitely see the Jags play in Montgomery. It's only 65% or so that I could make it up to Michigan on semi-short notice..
We would definitely have more fans at Montgomery. Remember the Dothan game against Edward Waters College? It can't be that bad.
I just want to go bowling!!
For the Red, White, & Blue: Go Jags!
