This one speaks for itself. I think these two guys at least deserve a shot to be looked at. So if you've got twitter, a few of us started sending tweets to the Senior Bowl's page, @seniorbowl, using the hash tag #InviteJakeandBJ. If you've got a twitter or Facebook, it can't hurt to get the word out.
Hopefully they will both recieve an invite!
Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
Jake Johnson should get in the Senior Bowl with no problem but B.J. Scott will need probably a couple of guys to drop out or get injured in their bowl games. B.J. is a good player do not get me wrong and he had a great senior season but he is probably 10th in the eyes of the Senior Bowl committee as far as safeties go.
J-A-G-S Jags! Jags! Jags!
I agree, Jake should have no problem getting in. I say SHOULD.
Still, can't hurt to get their attention a little more.
I agree, I'm all for getting them exposure! But the only way to get on the fence players like B.J. in the Senior Bowl for the future is to make sure the stadium is clearly overpowered by the Jag fans.
Was gonna post something on senior bowl facebook page was not found do they have facebook?
They are on facebook because I liked their page and get their updates. The page name is "Senior Bowl".
If you look at the "posts made by others" on the Senior Bowl facebook page, there are around 15-20 posts asking for BJ and Jake to get to an invitation! This is great! The Senior Bowl listened in the past when Courtney Smith was invited, hopefully it can work again!
I know that Phil Savage and his selection committee have both Jake and BJ on their watch list for this year's game. And like it's been said earlier, Jake should get one. BJ may have to go Courtney's route, an injury replacement.
IT'S OUR TIME! GO JAGS!!
If I am not mistaken the Nfl submits a list to Phil on who they want..If for whatever reason they don't get an invite, lets not trash Phil..I do think the league allows a few spots for ticket sales type of players..
.I know one NFL team allows a spot for ticket sale type player the Jets.
Still no invite for Johnson or Scott.
15 more names will be announced tomorrow.
Will keep my fingers crossed/
One thing our 2 Jags have that no one else has..................they can report to the Senior Bowl in about the time it takes to deliver a pizza! Place your order!
For the Red, White, & Blue: Go Jags!
Never really thought of this before, but since BJ has accepted to participate in the NFLPA game, is he eligible for the Sr Bowl? I would think that once you agree to play in any one of these Sr showcase games, they wouldn't want you playing anywhere else. That would nullify the 'wow' factor of saying "We have Manti Te'o in our game" if he played in multiple games. Just used a big name to illustrate the point. For some of those wanting to make a name or be a bigger blip on the NFL radar, this may be a moot point.

For the record, with 53 players now announced, ZERO Sun Belt teams are represented.
I'm pretty sure you are only allowed to participate in 1 game.
While that seems logical, I haven't been able to find anything to back it up.
I think it has happened in the past but not recently. I recall that someone played in the East-West game and then came to the Senior Bowl but that was several years ago.

Not looking good for our guys, sad to say...
Lawrence Sidbury, now with the Atlanta Falcons, played in the East West Shrine game and did so well that they invited him to the Senior Bowl.
He wasn't on the original list because he was out of Richmond.
Jake led the Sun Belt in tackles and was First Team all SBC.
He participated in the JR day last year and ran like a 4.5 or something.
If that doesn't get you an invite, I don't know what does.
USA Class of 99
We now have one Sun Belt player in the Senior Bowl...By the way this is a conference with four teams in Bowl Games....well Jan 2 is the last try....
Back to th SB facebook page.# 42 should get a chance.
