We forget sometimes about guys who have been committed for a while, but Funderburk is a great playmaker that can see the field very early for the Jags.
I checked in with him tonight and he says he is solid to USA, so I think we can count on his signature on Signing Day.
Pretty impressive lists of offers. I saw the kid from Gainesville who is committed to USA play in the state championship game. Good size for a high school...maybe a good fit with an explosive guy like Funderburk.
That's Caleb Hayman from Gainesville. Kind of a thick WR. He's not a speedster like DF but he has really good hands and will probably be a tight end in our offense. TE is a bit of a feature position at South Alabama as Greg Hollinger and Wes Saxton were probably our two best receivers last year.
Trust Dad to know.

Horizontally enhanced, vertically challenged, follically impaired...
Hayman was an absolute beast in the state championship game but Gainesville's QB was unbelievable. If Clemson can hang on to him watch out for the Tigers in a couple of years.
Yea...Deshaun Watson is a stud. Georgia was loaded with some really good quarterbacks this year. The kid from Jefferson really surprised me. Calhoun couldn't stop him...he was like mini-Tebow.
Great thanks DK.Three weeks until they sign. Will spring practice start in March ?
Has a date been announced for the Spring game?

He was very impressive. And I don't think he's got many college offers. At 6'3", 220 I'd love to have him as a FB/TE. He can do some damage with the ball in his hand.
I havent heard his name at all in any recruiting talk in the Atlanta area.
He's go some Ivy League offers.

As long as it is not a Wednesday, I'm OK with it. The date may still be flexible.
For the Red, White, & Blue: Go Jags!
It's typically on a Saturday do they can draw in fans. I can't think of an occasion when it wasn't.
Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
There was a non-Saturday game. I think it was the second spring. The weather was terrible and nobody showed. I remember Kelly Vail catching a long TD.

That was the Wednesday night game I was thinking of. I think Joey learned something about when to schedule a spring game that year. I was there, though and it actually didn't rain a whole lot at the game, but the forecast was for big time thunderstorms and the crowd was weak.
247 is reporting he is visiting Cincinnati this weekend. Made the statement a while back that his recruiting was pretty much over. Should we be worried?
Uh oh, he and Blanchard are the cream of the crop, need to keep these two guys.
He's going to Western Ky also....he's got me worried. Doug, did you ask him why he's going?
The last I heard it was either going to be Cincy or WKU. I don't know if it will be both. Let me see what I can find out.
The coaches still feel good about Dejon. Not great, but good.
If hes wavering he hides it well. He and Noah talk a lot and hes been solid.
That's the best news I've heard in a couple of days.
I'm very concerned about Funderburk.
I'll put more on the insider thread.
I'm hosting my boy @_KingFunderburk today for his official visit he from MY hometown the great city of Pensacola welcome him to the HILL
That was posted by WKU running back Marquis Sumler on his twitter page yesterday. Looks like a high of 39 in bowling green today. Hope he hates cold weather!
