I know we have some Braves fans. There are reports out there that the Braves have now acquired Justin Upton.
The Braves are also requiring 3B (and K machine) Chris Johnson in the move.
Atlanta will be sending the D-Backs INF Martin Prado, RHP Randall Delgado along with minor leaguers Nick Ahmad (SS), Zeke Spruill (RHP) and Brandon Drury (3B).

I love the thought of a 2/3 Upton outfield, but I hate to lose Prado.
I hate the trade. Prado was too valuable and we already have a low-average high-homerun guy in Dan Uggla.
I hate it as well. Prado added so much versatility, I don't think the occasional power numbers from J-Up will be enough to compensate for the .300 avg Prado routinely put up. Don't like it at all.
Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
I love Prado as much as anyone but he wasn't going to be in Atlanta in 2014. He was asking north of 10 mil a year for a multi year and the Braves weren't doing that. He most likely would've been traded during the year anyway to get something in return. J Upton is 25 year old who has tons of potential, was 4th in MVP in 2011. There's 3 30/30 potential guys in the outfield now and also picked up a guy who hit .281 with 15 homeruns in 136 games with Chris Johnson. We didn't lose any of our top prospects that look to be future braves. Justin and BJ are very competitive with each other that hopefully will push each other.
Like one GM said of the trade for the braves, 'a coup'.
Great trade IMO
I'm with Byrd on this one. It adds some speed to the line-up and gives us some righty/lefty balance.
If Simmons can lead off and if McCann can get healthy ( and in shape), this is a very good line-up.
They prefer Simmons in the 8-hole. I'm not sure he's ready to lead off.
Prado was the most well-liked, hardest-working and versatile guys on the team. He'll be a huge loss in the clubhouse, especially since you've now added two guys known for being moody.
I'll hope for the best, of course, but I see where this could be the fire that warms your house or burns it down.
No Prado anymore makes me a sad panda.
