Many of you know I have a son who is a freshman on the football team. Tuesday night he was driving home from Mobile with his girlfriend and her cousin for his high school graduation on Wednesday when they were involved in a three car wreck on I-285 in Atlanta causing his car to flip at least three times...that he can remember. By the grace of God, no one in any of the cars involved was injured minus a couple of cuts and scratches.
The wreck has certainly provided him with an insight into how fragile life can be, which is something most kids his age don't spend much time thinking about. He was back at school and in class Thursday and is ready to get started on the next chapter in his life....and very thankful to have a next chapter.
I assume there are people on this board from college age to my age and probably older. I know this is cliche but I would encourage you to hug someone you love today and tell them you love them. Life can change in the blink of an eye.
Very true statement. Events like this have a way of putting things in perspective. Glad he is ok.

"It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything." -Tyler Durden
Glad to hear everyone is safe.
Were they wearing seat belts? If so, that may have saved them from serious injury, or even worse. If they weren't, they were incredibly lucky.
I don't like 'em, but I always wear 'em.
Horizontally enhanced, vertically challenged, follically impaired...
Glad to hear that they are all safe. I hate driving on 285.
Yes. They were.
So happy they were OK. Glad they weren't driving faster than their Guardian Angel could fly.
God has a plan for those kids and He is not done with them yet.
Glad to hear everyone is okay. I bet they were shaken up. That's a scary situation for all involved.
Thanks for the update. Glad everyone was ok. Have a good weekend
Wow I'm glad he and all involved are ok. Thank you for sharing.
As a father my greatest weakness is the feeling of helplessness. I hate when things happen to my family that I cant fix or protect them from. As a son of the living God my greatest love is knowing that He can fix and protect where I can't.
Our community has been following a local family that lost a 17 yr old daughter in an accident a few months ago while at the same time cling to hope for their other daughter that is still in a comma from the same accident that killed her sister. The father has been sharing almost every event on facebook and it has inspired many across our county and beyond.
Cliche or not we do need to love on those that are around for we never know when they will be gone.
We need to keep each other and especially those going to school at USA in our prayers always
The Lord is with Thee...I am happy everyone is safe!
Value of wearing a seat belt.
I get a down vote for this??? Really? ?
glad to hear he's okay!!
I downvoted you. If a deity has a plan for people, then what is the plan for these kids?
Maybe his plan is for those kids to one day help those that are less fortunate. That is for God to decide.
Future president of the United States?
I'm not sure I follow.
Yes, please explain.
One of these days a higher power will get to these children, huh?? *CROSSING FINGERS* One of these days....
I'll be glad to. My prediction is that any one of these kids could grow up to be president. What's so hard to understand about that?
By the way, you can down vote me all you want, I don't know what it means.
You said "President of the United States" earlier. None of these kids are eligible to be President of the United States. So your explanation still doesn't add up.
president of what
Sorry, I can't tell from the picture what country they're in.
please tell me where in the United States where there are children this emaciated
