Al.com is reporting the 2014 conference tourney will be in New Orleans. Thank God they finally moved this out of Hot Springs.....

This is the appropriate reaction to this news. Fantastic!
Doesn't USA host the SBC baseball tourney that year also?

Class of '14. Go Jags! South in your Mouth!
Hope they can keep the power on!
Jags fans have no excuse not to be there in force, when it's in New Orleans. It's been rather embarrassing in Hot Springs. I think last year, only FAU and FIU (and maybe Troy) brought fewer people.
Currently, South Alabama is 2nd overall in conference. If that holds, I'd hope a few hundred of us would show up in Hot Springs. The pitch, one last time: It is a great town for a Sun Belt tournament, except for the 8 hour drive. Small city, with hoops fans everywhere you go -- they're not swallowed up by a big city; plus, thoroughbred horse racing in season, spas, a National Park, and a good overall atmosphere. Try it, This is your last chance; and you could help send the Jags to the NCAAs.
I'd love to but it's just too far away. I'd probably go if the University put together a bus or overnight charter if we make it to the championship game. Although I know that's probably tough to do last minute
With class, it's pretty much impossible for us students to make the trip. Moving to NOLA will be a big help for students, especially if Mardi Gras lands during the same week.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The 2014 Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be held at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
The league office said in a news release Tuesday that New Orleans will be the host site of the tournament through 2016.
Lakefront Arena previously hosted the 2002 Sun Belt Championships.
The arena has recently undergone renovations that include a new $3.5 million exterior metal facade and sloped roof panels, a $1.5 million state-of-the-art bitumen roof system, $2.5 million in new seating with 8,700 chairs total, $1.2 million in ramp renovations, new flooring throughout the second level concourse, new tiles and restroom fixtures throughout, arena lighting upgrades, a new sound system and the building of two new lounges.
It's like an astronaut returning from a trip to Mars!! I was hoping for Biloxi, but this is much better than Arkansas.
For the Red, White, & Blue: Go Jags!
Its about DAMN time!!!!
I'm a machine, jerk!
