McGill's T.J. Lang Talks Recruiting

I had a chance to chat with McGill-Toolen shooting guard T.J. Lang about his recent offer from South Alabama and the state of his recruiting.

Gene Hansen: I saw earlier this week you got an offer from South Alabama. Any thoughts on that offer or the new coaching staff?
T.J. Lang: I’m thankful for the offer. I like the new staff. I think they're going to improve South’s basketball program tremendously.

GH: I see you have a visit to Virginia Tech coming up. Do you have any other visits lined up?
TJ: No other officials, yet. I may have some more set in a couple of weeks.

GH: Will your dad (former LeFlore star, former Duke Blue Devil and current Japanese professional coach Antonio Lang) be able to take all of your visits with you?
TJ: He's supposed to go with me to Virginia Tech, but we’re not even sure if he will be able to make it.

GH: Do you have a leader/leaders?
TJ:No sir. I haven't narrowed them down yet. I’m still weighing all my options.

GH: Will you sign in November or in the spring?
TJ: I haven't decided yet. I’m going to talk to my family and pray about it.

GH: Any idea what you want to study in college?
TJ: Probably Business.

GH: McGill-Toolen should be pretty good this year. What can do to make the team the best it can be?
TJ: Just how hard we play and our consistency. Talent wise we have some of the best talent in the south so now it will be just putting all the pieces together, buying into the program, what the coaches say and playing team basketball.

Stay tuned to for updates on T.J. Lang and all your Jaguar recruiting information.
