South Alabama had a big day at their 7 on 7 tournament yesterday when they received their third commitment of the week when Pensacola Catholic defensive back Jeremy Reaves pledged to the Jags.
Reaves had attended the USA player's camp a couple of weeks earlier and his showing earned him an offer. On his second visit to Mobile he decided to pull the trigger.
"Just had the gut feeling, prayed about it and it was the right decision," said Reaves via text.
A two-way player at Pensacola Catholic, Reaves said the coaches project him as a cornerback at the college level. Playing safety last year, where his speed and athleticism could be used to best advantage, Reaves racked up 77 tackles and three interceptions.
At 6-0 and 175lbs and with a 4.45 40 time reported at Mississippi State's camp earlier this summer, Reaves has all the measurables to be a quality FBS player.
